International Business Marathon for Uzbek Diaspora Held in Germany

An “International Business Marathon of Compatriots” was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany, bringing together more than 300 Uzbek nationals working and studying in various fields ranging from IT and engineering to medicine, science, and business, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event gathered representatives of leading international companies, universities, research centers, as well as students and young professionals.
The marathon was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the Youth Affairs Agency, the “Yoshlar Kelajagimiz” and “Vatandoshlar” foundations, along with several partner organizations.
The event aimed to unite Uzbek people living abroad on a single platform, develop entrepreneurial skills, promote innovative and practical projects, and strengthen business culture among young people.
Ambassador of Uzbekistan Dilshod Akhatov noted that the business marathon had become an important platform for exchanging experience and generating new ideas. According to him, the event was not merely a meeting, but a platform for launching new projects, strengthening cooperation, and building long-term partnerships among compatriots.
The Ambassador also emphasized that the initiative brings together entrepreneurs, IT specialists, doctors, engineers, scientists, and students, creating a unified environment for interaction and collaboration.
As part of the program, participants discussed the development of startups, investment projects, international cooperation, and mechanisms to support youth entrepreneurship.
Representatives of Uzbekistan’s state and public organizations also addressed the audience, including Chairman of the Central Council of the Youth Union Khayrulla Sattorov and Head of the “Vatandoshlar” Foundation Odiljon Sattorov. They spoke about measures to support compatriots abroad and stressed the importance of involving their potential in the country’s development.
The marathon also featured startup presentations, investment sessions, open discussions with entrepreneurs, and networking opportunities aimed at establishing new business contacts.
In particular, compatriots working at companies such as Tesla, Mercedes-Benz, medical institutions GP Papenburg and Asklepios Fachkliniken Brandenburg, as well as prestigious universities, shared their professional experiences with participants.
The event also included the presentation of the German translation of the book “100 Facts about Great Figures,” dedicated to the 690th anniversary of Amir Temur.
At the conclusion of the marathon, participants expressed their readiness to launch joint projects, develop startup initiatives, and further strengthen cooperation between the Uzbek diaspora and Uzbekistan.
