Ankara hosts community iftar for Uzbek labour migrants

ANKARA, March 10. /Dunyo IA/. In the capital of Türkiye, an iftar was organized for 220 Uzbek citizens temporarily working on the “Moon and Star Residence” project of the Renaissance Holding company, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the gathering, the Imam-Khatib of Fergana, Jurabek Rakhmonov, spoke about the continued attention and support provided by the country’s leadership to protect the rights and interests of labour migrants, create decent working conditions and ensure social support for compatriots abroad.
Uzbek diplomats also held an open dialogue with participants, listening to their proposals, views, and existing concerns. Compatriots raised issues related to working conditions, legal matters and the activities of consular services, receiving detailed explanations in response.
National dishes were served during the event, contributing to the strengthening of friendly ties and mutual understanding among the Uzbek community in Türkiye. Participants expressed their gratitude to the country’s leadership for the attention and care shown to compatriots living abroad.
At the conclusion of the meeting, guests were extended best wishes on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and were provided with recommendations on lawful and safe employment abroad, as well as on issues related to legal protection.
