Uzbek Language and Literature Center opens in Baku

• 93BAKU, February 6. /Dunyo IA/. In honour of the 585th anniversary of the birth of the great poet and thinker Alisher Navoi, a ceremony was held at the Azerbaijan University of Languages to inaugurate the Center for Uzbek Language and Literature, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event was attended by rectors Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov and Kamal Abdulla, Head of the Working Group on Azerbaijan - Uzbekistan Inter -parliamentary Relations, member of Parliament Eldar Ibrahimov and other officials.
In their remarks, they highlighted that the historical friendship, alliance and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan continue to develop steadily. They emphasized that the opening of the Center for Uzbek Language and Literature will further strengthen the spiritual and cultural ties between the two brotherly nations. They also expressed confidence that the center will inspire Azerbaijani students to deepen their interest in the Uzbek language, literature and culture, further enhancing mutual understanding and solidarity.
The conference also noted that a group of students from the Azerbaijan University of Languages plans to continue their doctoral studies at the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages.
