BERLIN, March 29. /Dunyo IA/. The Embassy of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the exhibition house Q Galerie in Berlin, organized a presentation of Uzbek and Azerbaijani folk tales and national games for children, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event was attended by German children with their parents, as well as children of Uzbek and Azerbaijani descent. The program included a staged performance of folk tales from Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, vividly brought to life by storyteller Kristina Voigt.
Stories such as “Ziyod botir”, “Ur to’qmoq”, and “Haqgo’y tilanchi” were read in German, highlighting themes of justice, courage, and wisdom. Participants learned about the richness of oral folk traditions and the cultural heritage of the countries.
Additionally, hands-on workshops allowed children and their parents to create dolls from Uzbek fabrics depicting characters from the tales, paint on stones with spring and nature motifs, and craft decorative paper items.
During the event, young compatriots and their families were introduced to Uzbekistan’s rich culture and ancient customs. The friendly atmosphere, interactive discussions, and engaging Q&A sessions demonstrated the growing interest and attachment of the younger generation abroad to their homeland.
