ASTANA, August 27. /Dunyo IA/. Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan has registered 145 elected deputies of the first Kurultai session, reports Dunyo IA correspondent, citing “Interfax Kazakhstan.”

The new highest representative body includes representatives of five political parties: Ädilet – 110 deputies, the Nationwide Social Democratic Party – 8, Auyl – 10, Ak Zhol – 8 and Respublica – 9.

Central Election Commission Chairman Nurlan Abdirov noted that a lawmaker’s mandate is the result of the people’s trust and choice, while the status of a Kurultai deputy places great responsibility on each of them before the country and the people.

Following the registration, the deputies were presented with certificates and badges. The first session of the first Kurultai, according to a presidential decree, is scheduled for August 28.

It should be recalled that the nationwide elections to the Kurultai were held on August 23. More than 9.35 million people, or 74.08% of voters, took part in the vote. The Ädilet party received 71.17%.

The Kurultai was established under Kazakhstan’s new Constitution, adopted in a nationwide referendum on March 15, 2026, and entered into force on July 1. One of the key changes was the transition to a unicameral parliament consisting of 145 deputies with five-year terms of office.
