35th Anniversary of State Independence of Uzbekistan celebrated in Beijing

Embassy of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the “Vatandoshlar” Public Fund, organized a festive event on the occasion of the 35th Anniversary of the country's independence, with the participation of Uzbek compatriots residing in China, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Event was attended by students from Chinese universities, citizens of Uzbekistan working in the country, and other compatriots. The celebration was held under the motto “Independent Uzbekistan - My Pride” and commenced with the performance of the National Anthem.
Participants were briefed on the large-scale reforms across various sectors, the growth of foreign investment, the development of tourism, and measures implemented to support youth. The dynamic development of political, trade, economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian ties between Uzbekistan and China was highlighted.
Event also emphasized the significance of independence in ensuring peace, rights, and interests of citizens, noting that human dignity and improving the welfare of the population are at the core of the ongoing transformations. As part of the celebration, “Zakovat” intellectual game was held among compatriots. The participants demonstrated their knowledge and erudition, and the winners were presented with memorable gifts.
Festive program continued with a reception featuring national dishes and musical performances. Honoured Artist of Uzbekistan Anvar Ganiev performed live songs, creating a festive atmosphere at the event.
