Sweden showcases Uzbekistan’s export potential and emerging trade opportunities

• 115STOCKHOLM, May 15. /Dunyo IA/. A delegation of Uzbekistan led by the “Trade Development Company of Uzbekistan”, which included representatives of around 20 export enterprises, visited Sweden on a working visit, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Within the framework of the visit, a roundtable discussion on the topic “Trade Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Sweden: Opportunities and Prospects” was organized at the “Norrsken” Business Center in Stockholm.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden, Chamber of Commerce for Eurasia, National Board of Trade, the Export Credit Agency, as well as about 30 Swedish and Norwegian importers and distributors.
During the meeting, the export potential of Uzbekistan, the opportunities of the Swedish market and mechanisms for supplying Uzbek products to Scandinavian countries were discussed. Furthermore, B2B negotiations were held on the supply of fresh and dried fruits, electrical, chemical and construction products.
In addition, an agreement was reached between the Trade Development Company of Uzbekistan and the National Board of Trade of Sweden to organize training courses for exporters on entering the Swedish market.
The delegation also familiarized itself with the operations of the Stockholmsmässan exhibition center and the “Westfield Mall of Scandinavia” shopping center. Following the visit, preliminary agreements were reached to host the “Made in Uzbekistan” exhibition this autumn and to establish a trading house for Uzbek products.
