New Ambassador of Kazakhstan arrives in Tashkent

TASHKENT, July 27. /Dunyo IA/. Today, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov received the newly appointed Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Yeraly Tugzhanov, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
“Received copies of the credentials of H.E. Yeraly Tugzhanov, newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan, - the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram-channel. - We highly value the strong level of strategic partnership and allied relations achieved with brotherly Kazakhstan. Thanks to the trust-based dialogue and strong political will of the Leaders of our countries, Uzbekistan–Kazakhstan relations are dynamically developing across all areas.
During our conversation, we discussed increasing mutual trade, expanding industrial cooperation and interregional ties, as well as accelerating the implementation of joint projects in transport and logistics.
Wish the Ambassador every success in his important and honourable diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan”.
As a reminder, Yeraly Tugzhanov, who was appointed as Ambassador to Uzbekistan by the decree of the President of Kazakhstan on July 22nd, 2026, succeeded Beibut Atamkulov, who had headed the Embassy in Tashkent since 2022.
Yeraly Tugzhanov is 63 years old. Prior to his appointment to Tashkent, he served as Advisor to the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan. Previously, he worked in the Presidential Administration, served as Akim (Governor) of the Mangystau and Aktobe regions, headed the Federation of Trade Unions of the country and served as Deputy Prime Minister.
