First Ambassador of Gambia has been accredited to Uzbekistan

TASHKENT, July 27. /Dunyo IA/.  Today, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov received Ambassador of the Gambia, Alkali Fanka Conteh, with residence in Ankara, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

“Received the credentials of H.E. Alkali Fanka Conteh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Gambia to Uzbekistan, - the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram-channel. - Uzbekistan attaches particular importance to expanding mutually beneficial ties with African countries. In this context, we see significant untapped potential for cooperation with the Gambia.

Particular attention was paid to establishing trade and economic ties.

We are convinced that the Ambassador’s activities in our country will contribute to enriching bilateral relations with concrete practical substance”.

As a reminder, Alkali Fanka Conteh is the first Ambassador of The Gambia to Uzbekistan, with diplomatic relations between the two countries established on March 14th, 2024.
