WARSAW, June 5. /Dunyo IA/.  A grand opening ceremony of the Center for the Culture of Turkic Peoples, established with the support of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, took place at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the University of Warsaw, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event was attended by Aktoty Raimkulova, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, along with representatives of diplomatic missions of Turkic states in Poland, leadership of the University of Warsaw, officials from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, professors, teachers and students.

Embassy representatives emphasized that the opening of this center is an important event for promoting the history, languages, literature, art, and traditions of the Turkic peoples in Poland. It was noted that the center will serve not only as an educational platform for training specialists studying at the university but also as an intellectual bridge promoting cultural dialogue between East and West.

During the event, it was noted that the heads of state pay special attention to studying and widely promoting the historical and cultural heritage of Turkic peoples, as well as strengthening cooperation between Turkic states. The role of Uzbekistan as one of the ancient centers of civilization located at the crossroads of the Great Silk Road was highly emphasized. It was noted that Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Tashkent, and Shahrisabz have for centuries been centers of science, enlightenment, trade, craftsmanship and spiritual life.

It was also reported that the Embassy of Uzbekistan plans to support the center's activities in the future by donating publications, educational materials, and exhibits reflecting the historical and spiritual heritage of our country.
