Compatriots temporarily employed in Leningrad and Kaliningrad regions of Russia invited to Iftar gatherings and meetings with Imams

• 104SAINT PETERSBURG, March 3. /Dunyo IA/. Employees of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan and the representative office of the Migration Agency visited the company “TD “Baltiyskiy Bereg” LLC ("Baltic Shore" Trading House), located in the Leningrad Region, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
A conversation was held with compatriots, emphasizing the importance of such events for strengthening ties with citizens living abroad. They were informed about the most recent changes in migration legislation and provided with explanations on the procedures for obtaining consular and legal assistance.
In his speech, Ilyoskhon Sobitov, the Imam-Khatib of the “Obid Kori” mosque in the Namangan region, spoke about the fundamental tenets of Islam and the traditional values of the Uzbek people. He answered participants' questions and stressed the importance of obtaining religious information exclusively from official and reliable sources.
As part of Consul General Abdurakhmon Makhmudov’s working trip to Kaliningrad, an Iftar meeting was organized for Uzbek citizens temporarily working in the region. Religious and educational meetings and discussions were conducted alongside the Imam of the Nur Mosque, Aslan Khidirov.
The Consul General noted that, per the President’s instructions, religious figures and diplomats are holding meetings with compatriots worldwide during the holy month of Ramadan.
Imam Aslan Khidirov conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on behalf of the region's multinational community, emphasizing that such meetings bring people closer together and strengthen the nation.
The compatriots expressed their gratitude for the state’s attention and support. The event concluded in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
