BEIJING, July 27. /Dunyo IA/. Embassy of Uzbekistan in Beijing, in cooperation with the “Development Strategy” Center, held a presentation of the updated “Uzbekistan – 2030” Strategy in Chinese, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Presentation took place at the Institute of Russia, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia (IREECA) under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS).

Event, dedicated to the 35^th anniversary of the Republic's Independence, was attended by representatives of leading analytical and research centers from both Uzbekistan and China, as well as the media.

Participants were thoroughly briefed on the essence and significance of the updated “Uzbekistan – 2030” Strategy, the construction process of New Uzbekistan and key foreign policy priorities.

Chinese experts noted that the anniversary of Independence is an important milestone in the large-scale development of the country, as well as the life and welfare of the Uzbek people, particularly over the last decade.

Core principle of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's reform agenda is “all reforms - for the benefit of the Motherland, the nation and the people”, prioritizing efficiency alongside economic and social transformations.

Ding Xiaoxing, Deputy Secretary-General of the Academic Council of the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR), stated:

-  Under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Uzbekistan is developing dynamically. Having visited your country multiple times, I witness that the nation has achieved colossal success in recent years. “Uzbekistan – 2030” Strategy is a fundamental programmatic document that defines Uzbekistan's development vector for the next five years. Strategy contains ambitious target indicators. For instance, Uzbekistan's GDP this year is expected to reach $180 billion, and in the coming years, it will exceed $240 billion.

On the whole, Uzbekistan's development prospects appear highly promising. Currently, the country is demonstrating accelerated growth rates, while for China, this year marks the inauguration of its 15^th Five-Year Plan. This convergence creates unique avenues for even closer cooperation.

Furthermore, aligning Uzbekistan’s updated “Uzbekistan-2030” Strategy with China's 15^th Five-Year Plan for Economic and Social Development and “Belt and Road” Initiative is of paramount importance.

Progressive implementation of the “Uzbekistan-2030” Strategy will continuously deepen the strategic alignment between China and Uzbekistan, ensuring a prosperous future for bilateral relations.

Sun Zhuangzhi, Director of the Institute of Russian, Eastern European, and Central Asian Studies (IRECAS):

-  IRECAS and other leading Chinese think tanks closely and continuously monitor the reform process in Uzbekistan. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership between our two nations. We observe substantial progress in Uzbekistan's economic development and social protection system, which has become a stellar benchmark for the states of Central Asia. During our visits to Uzbekistan, we have witnessed firsthand the relevance and timeliness of these transformations - the reforms are yielding tangible, concrete and positive results.

Su Chang, Head of the Administration of the China-Russia Strategic Cooperation Council at the Chinese Academy, noted:

-  During the fruitful forum, we gained a deep insight into the essence of the new “Uzbekistan – 2030” Development Strategy, which comprises a comprehensive set of programmatic activities. Uzbek specialists detailed the achievements of recent years alongside the country's concrete planned tasks in the economic and political spheres, as well as in the field of China-Uzbekistan relations.
