Head of Oman’s Environmental Authority plans visit to Samarkand and Bukhara

MUSCAT, April 23. /Dunyo IA/. The Ambassador of Uzbekistan Abdusalom Khatamov held a meeting with Chairman of the Environment Authority of Oman Abdullah bin Ali Al Amri, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for further development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Oman in the fields of environmental protection, sustainable use of natural resources, and climate change mitigation. Both sides expressed readiness to exchange best practices and jointly develop effective solutions.
The Omani side confirmed its interest in strengthening cooperation with Uzbek partners and announced plans to participate in the international exhibition Eco Expo II, scheduled to take place in Samarkand from May 31 to June 5. As part of the visit, the delegation also intends to gain a deeper understanding of Uzbekistan and hold a series of bilateral meetings with relevant specialists.
The head of the authority further noted that he had long been interested in the historic cities of Samarkand and Bukhara, adding that it would be an honour for him to visit these cities renowned for their rich history, culture, and scientific heritage.
