Ambassador of Uzbekistan meets with former Prime Minister of Japan

TOKYO, April 23. /Dunyo IA/. The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Japan Mukhsinkhuja Abdurakhmonov held a meeting with former Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the talks, it was noted that the Japanese government consistently supports cooperation with Central Asian countries. Fumio Kishida emphasized that ensuring an open, stable, and independent development of the region remains a key priority for Tokyo.

Particular attention was paid to cooperation within the framework of the “Central Asia + Japan” dialogue. In this context, the first summit held in Tokyo in December 2025 was highly appreciated as a significant milestone that elevated this format to a new level.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the former Prime Minister expressed readiness to further strengthen the strategic partnership with Uzbekistan and expand cooperation across all areas.
