A Japanese broadcasting corporation has aired a special program dedicated to Uzbekistan

TOKYO, April 1. /Dunyo IA/. A special television program about Uzbekistan has been aired on the popular Japanese TV channel “RCC TV”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Project was produced by the “RCC TV” creative team following their trip to Uzbekistan from February 26 to March 2, 2026. The visit was organized with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan, the Dunyo Information Agency, as well as relevant ministries and departments.
Filming took place in Tashkent city, as well as the Tashkent and Fergana regions. Specifically, the program featured the Alisher Navoi State Academic Bolshoi Theatre, various educational institutions, the Japanese Garden, burial sites of Japanese citizens, and several other landmarks.
The television program provided extensive coverage of the “Hiroshima Kagura” cultural events, with special focus on the history and significance of this traditional Japanese performing art.
Furthermore, the program explored the history of Japanese citizens who lived in Uzbekistan during World War II, their labour, and the mutual respect they shared with the local population. It specifically highlighted the contribution of Japanese nationals who participated in the construction of the Alisher Navoi Theatre.
The program also highlighted the modern interest in Japanese culture within Uzbekistan, the growing cultural ties between the two nations, and performances by Kagura troupes in Uzbekistan.
This television project helped the Japanese public become more widely acquainted with Uzbekistan's rich history and culture, as well as the hospitality and openness of its people.
The initiative contributes to the further strengthening of cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan and promotes the country’s positive international image.
