• 106MINSK, October 12. /Dunyo IA/. Minsk-based English-language magazine Belarus has published an article highlighting the steadily developing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the publication, Uzbekistan stands as one of the most critical and reliable partners for Belarus in Central Asia. In 2025, the bilateral trade turnover between the two nations reached nearly 855 million USD, and both sides have firmly stated their intent to elevate this figure to 2 billion USD by 2030.
Magazine emphasizes that the high-level negotiations between President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President Alexander Lukashenko during the summit in Minsk served as a pivotal milestone. The primary outcome of these talks was the signing of the historic Declaration on the Establishment of Strategic Partnership Relations.
Deepening industrial cooperation has been identified as the cornerstone of bilateral economic relations. Notably, the assembly and localization of Belarusian MTZ tractors have successfully commenced in Uzbekistan. Within a single year, approximately 1,300 tractors were assembled, with strategic plans to scale up production to 3,000 units annually. Furthermore, a full-cycle poultry facility has been established in the Tashkent region, while Uzbek investors have been invited to implement large-scale agricultural projects in the Vitebsk region of Belarus.
Publication underlines that the partnership extends far beyond economic ties, demonstrating dynamic progress in medicine, education, culture, and other critical sectors. To ensure the systematic advancement of these relations, the parties have enacted the comprehensive “Roadmap” for Trade and Economic Cooperation for 2026–2030.
