President of Uzbekistan Unveiled the "Kelajak Merosi" International Award, a New Symbol of the Country’s Cultural and Scientific Renaissance

TASHKENT, November 5. /Dunyo IA/. President of Uzbekistan signed the decree "On the Establishment of the "Kelajak Merosi" International Award" on November 3rd, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The document notes that, in the context of the rapid development of the modern world, initiatives aimed at preserving and enhancing cultural and spiritual heritage are particularly important.
The establishment of the "Kelajak Merosi" International Award is intended to bring together representatives of literature, art, science, and technology in a shared endeavour to create a future grounded in humanity’s rich historical and cultural experience.
The Award will serve not only as a form of recognition for outstanding achievements but also as an effective instrument for strengthening Uzbekistan’s international image as a country where ancient traditions harmoniously coexist with innovative ideas.
Competitions for the International Award will be held annually, starting from 2025, across seven key categories:
· Literature
· Cultural heritage
· Theatre and film
· Music and dance
· Visual and applied arts
· Fashion and design
· Science, education, and digital technologies
Winners in each category will be awarded a statuette, a diploma, and a cash prize of $10,000. The award ceremony will take place in a formal setting, highlighting the scale and prestige of the Award.
To organise and conduct the competition, the Council of the "Kelajak Merosi" International Award is being established, with the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan designated as its executive body.
The Council will coordinate activities related to the selection of participants, the evaluation of submitted works, and the organisation of the award ceremony.
An important role in promoting the Award internationally is assigned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, which will be responsible for inviting foreign participants as well as providing visa support for winners and guests from other countries.
The establishment of the "Kelajak Merosi" International Award marks a significant step towards strengthening cultural dialogue between nations, fostering scientific and creative potential, and shaping the image of Uzbekistan as a country confidently looking to the future.
