CAIRO, March 2. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Egypt facilitated the repatriation of the body of an Uzbek citizen who passed away in Egypt, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the diplomatic mission, 68-year-old U.K., a native of the Andijan region, passed away following a heart attack. From the moment the information was received, diplomats established rapid coordination with the competent authorities and ensured the swift processing of all necessary documents.

At the same time, special attention was paid to supporting the family of the deceased. The Embassy assisted in coordinating matters with the airline and funeral services to organize the timely transportation.

As a result of the cooperation between the relevant agencies, the body of the deceased was delivered to Uzbekistan for burial in accordance with the family's wishes and national traditions.

Previously, diplomatic mission also provided assistance in the repatriation of the body of another Uzbek citizen who had passed away in Egypt.
