MOSCOW, March 2. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation organized an iftar for compatriots employed at the Russian company “Shchyolkovsky Meat Processing Complex”, a producer of frozen meat semi-finished products marketed under the “Siberian Collection” brand, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event was organized in honour of the holy month of Ramadan and aimed at strengthening spiritual ties, preserving cultural and religious traditions and supporting compatriots living in Russia.

The celebration was attended by citizens of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan working at the enterprise, as well as Odiljon Sadilloev, the Imam-Khatib of the “Khalifa Khudoydod” mosque in Bukhara, who arrived from Uzbekistan specifically for this purpose.

Embassy representatives, together with the Imam-Khatib, congratulated the participants on the blessed month of Ramadan and emphasized the humane essence of our sacred religion. Special attention was paid to the creative work carried out by the leadership of Uzbekistan to support and protect socially vulnerable and needy citizens, both within the country and abroad.

The significant contribution of the reforms being implemented in our country toward strengthening the policy of harmony between representatives of different nationalities and religions was noted, as well as transforming Central Asia into a region of good-neighborliness, prosperity and development.

As part of the event, the diplomatic mission organized a dedicated area for guests featuring special books and magazines focused on the development of New Uzbekistan. These materials also showcased Uzbek culture, national traditions, and the rich heritage of great scholars who have gained widespread fame in the Islamic world.

At the conclusion of the event, a festive dastarkhan (table) was laid for the compatriots for Iftar, where everyone enjoyed national cuisine and festive plov.
