Experts from Uzbekistan and South Korea Discussed Practical Solutions in Artificial Intelligence, Digital Transformation and Sustainable Development

TASHKENT, May 2. /Dunyo IA/. An international forum titled “The Role of Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization in the Development of Education, Energy and Regions” was held at IT Park Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event was attended by representatives of government agencies, think tanks, universities and international organizations from Uzbekistan and South Korea.

The event was organized by the Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR) in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI), the Global Development Institute (GDI) at Seoul National University (SNU), and the Tashkent University of Information Technologies (TUIT).

Welcoming the forum participants, Nozimon Ortikov, Deputy Director of the Center for Economic Research and Reforms, highlighted the resilience of Uzbekistan's economy in the face of global instability.

Addressing the forum participants, Kilkon Ko, Vice President of Seoul National University, stated that Uzbekistan demonstrates steady development dynamics and possesses significant potential for expanding cooperation with South Korea in areas such as artificial intelligence, environmental sustainability and administrative reforms.

Bambang Brodjonegoro, Dean and CEO of the Asian Development Bank Institute, noted that international experience underscores the importance of investing in human capital, developing high-tech industries, and integrating into global value chains as key drivers of sustainable economic growth.

The forum showcased research findings on the integration of artificial intelligence in education, the leveraging of digital solutions for poverty alleviation and regional development, and the modernization of the energy sector, drawing upon international best practices, including those of South Korea.

The proceedings concluded with the identification of strategic priorities for future cooperation, emphasizing the exchange of expertise and knowledge-sharing between think tanks and international institutions as essential pillars for fostering inclusive growth and sustainable socio-economic development.
