A panel session on growth and investment in Central Asia and Azerbaijan held in Warsaw

Supported by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Poland, a panel session titled 'Driving Growth and Investment in Central Asia and Azerbaijan' was organized at the Warsaw School of Economics as part of the first session of the “C6 Business Forum”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The discussions featured diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan, Rovshan Akhundov, Counselor at the Embassy of Azerbaijan, Paweł Jaskuła, an expert from the Boym Institute think tank and Ermek Kanibekov, President of the Eurasian Business Association in Poland (Kyrgyzstan).
During the event, it was emphasized that the strategic, economic, and political significance of Poland, the Central Asian nations, and Azerbaijan is steadily increasing. Participants underscored the importance of elevating trade, economic, and investment cooperation between these states to a qualitatively new level, strengthening regional connectivity, and ensuring energy security amidst global geopolitical transformations.
Particular attention was paid to the fact that Central Asia is progressively emerging not only as a transit hub but also as a promising center for investment and industrial manufacturing.
During the panel session, diplomats provided detailed information on the large-scale and irreversible reforms being implemented in New Uzbekistan. In particular, they highlighted measures within the framework of the “Uzbekistan – 2030” Strategy aimed at economic liberalization, the modernization of public administration, and enhancing the role of the private sector.
The forum served as a vital platform for dialogue, bringing together representatives from diplomatic, business, academic, and expert-analytical circles, as well as young leaders. It made a significant contribution to strengthening multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Poland, expanding student engagement with international institutions and the business community, and promoting academic, scientific, and cultural exchanges.
