Ambassador of Uzbekistan and a Member of the Japanese Parliament emphasize their commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation

TOKYO, May 13. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Mukhsinkhodja Abdurakhmonov, has met with Taro Kono, a Member of the House of Representatives of the National Diet of Japan and Director-General of the International Bureau of the Liberal Democratic Party, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, the current state of Uzbek-Japanese relations and prospects for their further development were discussed.

The parties emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in areas such as political dialogue, inter-parliamentary ties, interregional interaction, economic partnership and tourism.

Taro Kono noted that the Japanese delegation's visit to Uzbekistan, held on May 1-3rd of this year, was substantial and productive, and expressed readiness to facilitate the practical implementation of the agreements reached during the trip.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to further strengthen Uzbek-Japanese relations across various fields and maintain regular working contacts.
