BALIKESIR, August 19. /Dunyo IA/. Within the framework of the international media forum themed “From Cultural Destination to Digital Future: Cultures, Media and Artificial Intelligence”, held in the historic and picturesque Turkish city of Balikesir, substantive meetings took place between representatives of the Journalists' Union of Uzbekistan and leading media organizations of Türkiye, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meetings, the sides discussed the current state of journalism in the two countries, new opportunities and challenges emerging within the rapidly changing media environment, issues concerning the expansion of professional ties between journalists, the exchange of experience, as well as the implementation of joint media projects.

One of the primary outcomes of the negotiations was the signing of memorandums of cooperation between the media organizations of Uzbekistan and Türkiye.

Documents were signed by the Chairman of the Board of the Journalists' Union of Uzbekistan Shukhrat Oripov; President of the Journalists' Federation of Türkiye Yılmaz Karaca and Chairman of the Board of the Internet Media Union of Türkiye (TİMBİR) Süleyman Basa. Signed agreements marked an important step toward the development of systematic and practical cooperation between the journalists and media organizations of the two nations.

Memorandum with the Journalists' Federation of Türkiye envisages the exchange of journalistic delegations, studying the experience of local press development, conducting joint seminars on digital journalism, artificial intelligence and media literacy, enhancing the professional qualifications of journalists, as well as organizing international media forums.

Particular attention within the framework of cooperation will be devoted to expanding professional ties between the journalists of Uzbekistan and Türkiye, creating new opportunities for communication, exchanging experience and implementing joint initiatives.

A separate memorandum of cooperation was signed with the Internet Media Union of Türkiye (TİMBİR). This agreement is designed to provide an additional impetus to the development of the digital dimension of cooperation between the media organizations of the two nations.
