ISLAMABAD, April 12. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Alisher Tukhtayev held a meeting with Nauman Afridi, Director of the leading Pakistani industrial group JHK Group of Companies, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

At the beginning of the talks, the participants discussed the outcomes of the visit of a delegation from the Pakistani holding to Uzbekistan in November 2025. During that visit, company representatives held a series of meetings with the ministries of health, investments, industry and trade, construction, as well as with the leadership of several sectoral organizations.

Particular attention was given to visits to pharmaceutical enterprises HVARA Pharma and Shifu Pharma in the Khorezm region, where possibilities for launching joint production lines were discussed. A key outcome of the visit was the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Uzbek company NovaInvest.

During the current negotiations, the Pakistani side announced plans to organize supplies of infusion solutions in various volumes to Uzbekistan. The company also intends to localize the production of these medical products in the republic in the future. These solutions are widely used in medical practice for the treatment of dehydration, infectious diseases, and other conditions.

The sides also discussed increasing exports of construction materials from Uzbekistan to the Pakistani market, noting significant untapped potential in this sector. Priorities for long-term partnership were also identified, including joint development of investment projects, enhanced cooperation in road infrastructure, and the placement of modern production facilities in special industrial zones of Uzbekistan.
