WARSAW, April 27. /Dunyo IA/. A delegation of leading Polish companies, including “Polryb” (fish products), “Biernacki” (beef products) and representatives of the “Dino” retail chain, visited Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the visit, meetings were held with representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, the Committee for Veterinary and Livestock Development, the retail chains “Korzinka” and “Makro”, as well as representatives of leading domestic meat producers — “Rozmetov” and “Toxtaniyoz ota” enterprises.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed expanding trade in food products and establishing direct cooperation between companies. Special attention was paid to professional development for specialists, the exchange of experience, the implementation of modern processing and storage technologies, as well as the promotion of local products to the European market.

In turn, representatives of the “Makro” retail chain expressed their readiness to provide practical assistance to Polish companies in establishing a joint venture in Uzbekistan specializing in the production and sale of meat products. Investment opportunities and issues of production localization involving modern technologies were also discussed.

Following the meetings, the parties confirmed their readiness to develop mutually beneficial cooperation and outlined specific steps to expand trade and economic ties, implement modern technologies and develop joint projects.
