TEL AVIV, July 9. /Dunyo IA/.  Embassy of Uzbekistan hosted an official meeting with compatriots engaged in labour activities within the country, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, the participants were briefed on comprehensive measures to safeguard the rights and interests of migrant workers, ensure their employment placement and establish safe working conditions abroad.

Particular attention was dedicated to the matters of organized recruitment, vocational training, foreign language acquisition, the formalization of labour contracts and pre-departure preparation of citizens.

Meeting participants discussed pressing issues, including guarantees under labour contracts, timely payment of wages, medical insurance, living conditions, access to consular services and assistance in the event of disputes with employers.

Representatives of the Embassy clarified the mechanisms for protecting citizens' rights, the procedures for resolving labour conflicts, and the avenues for obtaining practical assistance through the diplomatic mission. Additionally, a segment of the participants was officially registered on the consular roster.

Furthermore, meeting covered events dedicated to the upcoming 35^th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence, alongside the preservation of the Uzbek language and culture among compatriots abroad.

Citizens of Uzbekistan were provided with detailed information regarding the embassy's activities and the features of the “Consular Services” mobile application, which allows access to consular support in a convenient format.

Participants expressed their gratitude for the attention and support extended by the state to citizens working overseas, emphasizing the paramount importance of convening such meetings on a regular basis.
