Uzbekistan and Rostov Region Agree to Expand Tourism Cooperation

ROSTOV-ON-DON, August 31. /Dunyo IA/. Uzbek and Russian tourism industry representatives held online talks with the assistance of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Rostov-on-Don, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The meeting brought together representatives of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan, leading Uzbek tour operators, Russia’s Ministry of Economic Development, the Rostov Region Tourism Development Agency and regional tourism companies.

The sides discussed promoting Uzbekistan’s tourism potential in the Russian market, expanding direct contacts between tour operators and developing new travel offers. Participants highlighted opportunities in cultural, historical, gastronomic and pilgrimage tourism.

Russian partners also noted the potential of the Rostov Region as one of the key gateways to southern Russia for promoting Uzbekistan’s tourism.

The sides agreed to strengthen direct contacts between tour operators, exchange tourism offers and continue B2B talks on developing and promoting new tourism products.
