SAINT PETERSBURG, June 20. /Dunyo IA/. Roadshow dedicated to Uzbekistan’s tourism potential was held at the Saint Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event was organized by “OksTours” and “Trans-Logistic” companies with the support of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in St. Petersburg.

The roadshow brought together more than 40 representatives of the tourism industry from St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region who are interested in developing business ties with Uzbek partners. Participants also included representatives of the Committee for Tourism Development of St. Petersburg, the Committee for Culture and Tourism of the Leningrad Region, and Uzbekistan Airways.

Opening remarks were delivered by Irina Karpenko, Director of the Department of External Relations at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as representatives of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan and Uzbekistan Airways in St. Petersburg.

Speakers emphasized the strategic importance of the tourism sector for strengthening bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Russian regions, noting mutual interest in increasing tourist flows and supporting joint projects.

During the presentation, executives from “Trans-Logistic” and “OksTours” introduced an overview of current tourism offerings, including classic routes across the cities of the Great Silk Road as well as combined programs with visits to Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.

The presentation also highlighted Uzbekistan’s transport infrastructure, new tourist routes, and special offers tailored to the Russian market.

A prize draw was also held. The main prizes included two airline tickets to Uzbekistan from Uzbekistan Airways, a hotel accommodation voucher in Khiva, and traditional national headwear.

The roadshow concluded with business negotiations and individual meetings, where participants discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation, the creation of joint tourism products, and measures for further development of tourism exchange between Uzbekistan, St. Petersburg, and the Leningrad Region.
