AKTAU, July 27. /Dunyo IA/. In Kazakhstan, a presentation of Uzbekistan’s tourism potential was organized in cooperation with the AKFA Medline Clinic, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Event was attended by more than 100 representatives of tourism companies, the hospitality industry, healthcare institutions, local authorities, business circles, the diplomatic corps and media outlets.

Participants were provided with information on the reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan in the tourism sector, the development of tourism infrastructure, opportunities for medical, group and transit tourism, as well as modern conditions for receiving foreign tourists.

Particular attention was paid to direct air connections between the cities of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, which contribute to increasing tourism exchanges between the two countries. Guests were also informed about the launch of “night tourism streets” in Tashkent and the “Qovun Sayli” Melon Festival to be held in Khiva on August 7–9^th.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in expanding cooperation and implementing joint tourism initiatives. The event was covered by local media outlets and the Uzbekistan 24 television channel.
