TASHKENT, July 27. /Dunyo IA/.  Today, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov received the newly appointed Ambassador of Portugal Sara Martins, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

“Pleased to receive the credentials of H.E. Sara Martins, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Portugal to Uzbekistan, - the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram-channel. - Our visit to Lisbon in April this year marked an important step in further developing Uzbekistan–Portugal relations, intensifying political dialogue and identifying new areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.

During our conversation, we paid particular attention to the consistent implementation of the agreements reached during the visit, intensifying economic diplomacy, and strengthening interregional ties.

Wish the Ambassador every success in her diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan”.

As a reminder, Uzbekistan and Portugal established diplomatic relations on August 12^th, 1992.
