Tourism potential of Uzbekistan showcased in Brussels

BRUSSELS, April 22. /Dunyo IA/. A special event dedicated to the presentation of Uzbekistan’s tourism potential was organized in the capital of Belgium by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the company “Foreign Integration”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps, media outlets, as well as tourism and cultural sectors of Belgium.

Guests were provided with detailed information on current trends in the development of Uzbekistan’s tourism industry, measures to improve infrastructure, expand international cooperation, and create favorable conditions for foreign visitors.

The presentation highlighted Uzbekistan’s rich cultural and historical heritage, as well as its diverse opportunities for cultural, pilgrimage, gastronomic, and eco-tourism. Particular attention was drawn to the growing interest of European partners in the country’s tourism market.

As part of the event, a fashion show featuring handmade clothing and traditional ikat textiles was held, along with a tasting of Uzbek national cuisine. Documentary videos showcasing Uzbekistan’s tourism potential were also presented.

Participants noted the high level of organization of the event and expressed strong interest in further promoting Uzbekistan’s tourism potential across the Benelux countries. According to them, the presentation marked an important step toward expanding contacts between relevant Uzbek institutions and tourism associations in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, as well as strengthening the positive image of Uzbekistan in Europe.
