The event was organized jointly with Uzbekistan Airways and the Indian company Blink Brand Solutions.
More than 60 tour operators and companies from Telangana specializing in group travel, MICE tourism, family holidays, and other segments took part in the presentation.
Participants were provided with detailed information on Uzbekistan’s rapidly growing tourism potential, its network of modern hotels and recreational facilities, as well as air connectivity between the two countries. Particular attention was given to the динамика (dynamics) of tourism cooperation in recent years. It was noted that over the past 5–6 years, the number of tourists from India visiting Uzbekistan has increased severalfold, with significant opportunities for further growth.
It was emphasized that the number of direct flights between the two countries continues to grow. Regular flights operated by Uzbekistan Airways connect Tashkent with Delhi, Mumbai, and Goa. In addition, Centrum Air has launched flights on the Delhi–Tashkent route, while Uzbekistan Airways has also introduced services on the Namangan–Delhi route.
Indian companies expressed strong interest in further expanding cooperation. It was noted that Uzbekistan’s rapidly developing tourism infrastructure—including hotels, transport, catering facilities, and recreational areas — serves as an important factor in increasing tourist flows.
During the Q&A session, Indian partners received clarifications on visa procedures, as well as on high-speed rail services and air routes connecting the country’s major tourist destinations, including Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, and others.
Given the growing number of tourists from India, the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan is developing a specialized training program for chefs working in cafes and restaurants focused on Indian cuisine.
The forum also featured B2B meetings aimed at further developing bilateral cooperation in tourism, implementing new joint projects, and creating attractive travel routes. Guests were additionally shown a series of video presentations highlighting Uzbekistan’s tourism potential.
