VIENNA, January 28. /"Dunyo" IA/. New opportunities for the development of investment and trade cooperation involving Uzbekistan’s BMB Holding were discussed in the Austrian capital, "Dunyo" IA's correspondent reports.
During a business visit to Vienna, Chairman of the Board of Founders of BMB Holding Bekzod Mamatkulov held talks with Boris Kandov, head of the company’s long-standing business partner Agrotec. The parties noted with satisfaction that trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Austria has been developing steadily, with bilateral trade volumes increasing year by year.
The discussions also focused on further improving the operations and fully unlocking the potential of the Austrian-Uzbek joint venture AGROINVEST, established in October 2025 by BMB Holding and Agrotec. Particular attention was paid to prospects for introducing efficient and high-quality logistics mechanisms to ensure the prompt delivery of agricultural products produced and processed by the holding to European markets.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to systematically accelerate the activities of AGROINVEST, as well as to implement new joint investment projects in Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector in the near future.
The agreements reached were formalized through the signing of an investment agreement totalling €15 million, aimed at further strengthening bilateral export-import cooperation.
