GUANGZHOU, January 28. /Dunyo IA/.  Uzbek products are increasingly appearing on retail shelves and online platforms across China, attracting growing attention from both Chinese importers and consumers, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

At prestigious trade fairs, including the “China Import & Export Food Spring-Festival Fair” and “Belt and Road Expo of Curated Collections”, visitors were able to explore not only traditional Uzbek sweets and processed agricultural products, but also a range of handcrafted artisanal goods. Particular attention was drawn to the “Silk Road” gift set as well as Uzbek honey and fresh cherries, which were featured in the exhibition’s premium product catalogue. These items are now being actively promoted in the Chinese market through both offline retail channels and online platforms, reflecting a growing interest in high-quality Uzbek exports.

A significant development has been the introduction of Uzbek products under the “Made in Uzbekistan” brand on the new digital platform “Guangdong Flavors”, which provides direct access to distributors, major importers and end consumers across China.

According to Guo Wenon, Vice President of “Efoodline Network Technology”, exports of Uzbek mung beans, cherries, raisins, nuts and dried products to China have increased by more than 50 percent compared with the previous year. Trade growth has been further accelerated by the launch in 2025 of direct cargo flights on the Tashkent - Guangzhou route, reducing delivery times to just 5.5 hours.

Looking ahead, Uzbekistan plans to launch the “Cherry Express” project, which will enable rapid delivery of Uzbek fruits and vegetables to the Guangdong - Hong Kong - Macau region, ensuring that produce reaches the market fresh and of high quality.
