Uzbekistan and the Netherlands strengthen cooperation in labour migration

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Gayrat Fazilov, met with the management of the Dutch company MMBS Groep and the manager of the Bouwmensen Amsterdam educational center, which specializes in training personnel for the construction industry, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the discussions, issues of cooperation in labour migration, the simplification of visa procedures, and the potential for further development of organized migration programs between Uzbekistan and the Netherlands were addressed. The Dutch side emphasized that Uzbekistan is a reliable partner with qualified and well-prepared labour resources.
It was reported that recently 40 specialists were selected from among 400 Uzbek citizens and employed with a monthly salary of €2,500. In the future, up to 6,000 additional workers are expected to be recruited.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to establish the first vocational training center for construction specialists in Urgench in cooperation with MMBS Groep. In the future, the center’s training programs will be expanded to include professions such as plumbing, electrical work, and other in-demand specialties.
Additionally, the participants reviewed the working and living conditions of compatriots employed by MMBS Groep.
