HANGZHOU, March 31. /Dunyo IA/. A presentation of Uzbekistan’s investment potential took place in the Chinese city of Hangzhou as part of the annual session of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) of Zhejiang Province, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event was organized by the municipal government, the Hangzhou International Chamber of Commerce, and the Committee for the Promotion of International Trade, bringing together over 500 representatives from major local and international companies, as well as consular officials from the UK, New Zealand, Chile, Egypt, Indonesia and Uzbekistan.

During the presentation, representatives of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Shanghai spoke about the large-scale reforms implemented in the country in recent years, economic liberalization, the creation of a favourable investment climate and the diversification of foreign economic relations. Special attention was paid to strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China, as well as the implementation of joint regional and sectoral projects that contribute significantly to the economic development of both countries.

Participants were provided with a detailed presentation on the country's infrastructure potential and support measures for foreign investors, including national and regional investment projects, tax and tariff incentives, export support measures and opportunities to access the markets of Central Asia, the CIS and the European Union.

Representatives of Chinese companies noted that relations between Uzbekistan and China are developing rapidly and reaching a qualitatively new level. Special interest was drawn to joint projects in infrastructure, energy, mining, agriculture and high technologies, which demonstrate the successful partnership between the two countries.
