NEW DELHI, April 1. /Dunyo IA/. In India, in collaboration with Manav Rachna University and the ENN360 organization, a presentation was held for a book by young Uzbek female poets and prose writers, published in English under the title “Uzbekistan, through her eyes: Stories from the Silk Road”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event was attended by officials from the Embassy of Uzbekistan, university leadership, representatives of scientific, academic, cultural and humanitarian circles, as well as students.
It was noted that over the past two years, this is already the third literary project by young Uzbek authors to be published in India in English:
Exactly one year ago in Delhi, the collection “The Cultural Landscape of Uzbekistan: Stories, Poems and Articles by Talented Women of Uzbekistan” was presented to the general public.
In December last year, the “VK Global Publications” publishing house in the Indian capital released a book by the renowned poet and member of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan Shukhrat Arif, titled “The Flying Leaf”.
The new edition has become a logical continuation of this literary tradition. It is designed to introduce Indian readers to the heritage of the Great Silk Road and the modern life of Uzbekistan.
Speakers at the presentation called this initiative a 'spiritual bridge' between the two nations. It was emphasized that more than 15,000 Indian students currently studying in Uzbekistan, along with Uzbek youth in Indian universities, serve as unique “cultural ambassadors”.
Such creative cooperation among the youth of both countries demonstrates that the new generation is taking on a significant responsibility for elevating the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and India to a new level.
At the conclusion of the event, special gratitude was expressed to Manav Rachna University and the ENN360 organization for their active assistance in promoting the literature and culture of Uzbekistan in India.
