Uzbekistan presents investment opportunities in Kuala Lumpur

KUALA LUMPUR, February 8. /Dunyo IA/. The Embassy of Uzbekistan held a presentation at the headquarters of The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM), highlighting the country’s economic potential and investment climate, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Representatives of Malaysia’s business community, including officials from the Secretariat of the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM), took part in the event. During the presentation, participants were provided with detailed information on the systemic reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan, the incentives available to foreign investors, and the country’s favourable business environment. The briefing underscored Uzbekistan’s efforts to enhance transparency, streamline regulatory frameworks and create stable and competitive conditions for international business engagement.
Tan Sri Datuk Ter Leong Yap, Director of the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM), noted that Uzbekistan’s strategic location in Central Asia and its rapidly developing economy have generated considerable interest among Malaysian entrepreneurs. According to him, Uzbekistan’s ongoing economic reforms and its policy of openness are creating new opportunities for Malaysian companies, particularly in trade, investment and industrial cooperation.
The event also highlighted a readiness to organize high-level business forums and B2B meetings during visits of delegations from Uzbekistan’s government bodies, associations and business community to Kuala Lumpur.
During the presentation, representatives of the Malaysian business community expressed their willingness to explore proposals for joint implementation of mutually beneficial projects in a range of sectors, including tourism and hospitality, real estate and construction, mineral processing and the textile and light industry.
At the conclusion of the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize business missions of leading Malaysian companies to Uzbekistan, enabling their participation in major international exhibitions hosted by the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM).
The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) was founded in 1921 and unites Chinese-Malaysian chambers of commerce across all 13 states of the country. Its membership exceeds 110,000 individuals, making it one of Malaysia’s largest and most influential business associations.
