Hungarian scholar to present a European perspective on the legacy of Alisher Navoi

BUDAPEST, February 8. /Dunyo IA/. On February 9, on the occasion of the 585th anniversary of Alisher Navoi’s birth, the 5th traditional international symposium on “Navoi and the Eastern Renaissance” will take place, bringing together Navoi scholars and literary researchers from more than a dozen countries, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The symposium is organized by the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies in collaboration with the Alisher Navoi International Public Foundation and the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan.
Foreign scholars specializing in Turkology and literary studies are expected to participate in the symposium. Among the many participants is Professor Benedek Péri, Head of the Department of Turkology and Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies at Loránd Eötvös University (Hungary), who will present a scholarly paper dedicated to the works and significance of Alisher Navoi’s legacy.
The symposium is expected to serve as a platform for knowledge exchange among scholars from different countries and to contribute to the preservation, study, and promotion of Alisher Navoi’s heritage in the global humanitarian sphere.
