A festive Iftar organized in the Moscow region for citizens of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the Holy month of Ramadan

NOGINSK, March 13. /Dunyo IA/. Embassy of Uzbekistan organized an iftar event at the Noginsk Cathedral Mosque in the Moscow Oblast for Uzbek nationals working in Russia and Uzbek students, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event was held in the format of a festive Iftar, with the participation of our country's citizens, Odiljon Sadillolev, Imam-Khatib of the “Khalifa Khudoydod” mosque in Bukhara and the leadership of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the given region.
During the event, representatives of the Embassy and the Imam-Khatib expressed their gratitude to the compatriots for their unity, active social stance, and for preserving national traditions while away from their homeland. It was noted that in Uzbekistan, special attention is paid to strengthening the atmosphere of peace and stability, interethnic harmony and religious tolerance based on the principles of humanism.
Particular focus was placed on the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of Uzbek citizens abroad. Embassy representatives emphasized that supporting compatriots and providing them with necessary assistance remains one of the priority areas of the diplomatic mission's activities. It was separately noted that in Uzbekistan’s state policy, human dignity and the interests of citizens are regarded as the highest value.
Additionally, Imam-Khatib reminded the audience of the need to avoid various religious sects and to use only official sources of information. He announced the operation of a 24-hour hotline by the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan for consultations on religious matters.
During the event, participants were served national dishes and festive palov. The attendees expressed their gratitude to the country's leadership for the attention and care provided to compatriots abroad.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the guests were offered best wishes on the occasion of the Holy month of Ramadan, along with recommendations for legal and safe employment abroad and matters of legal protection.
