Embassy of Uzbekistan assists in repatriation of the body of a female compatriot who died in a road traffic accident in the Indian state of Punjab

NEW DELHI, March 13. /Dunyo IA/. On March 10 of this year, an Uzbek citizen identified as T.M. died as a result of a road traffic accident in the city of Zirakpur, Punjab state, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan, the incident involved a private vehicle. Competent law enforcement agencies of the state of Punjab are conducting the relevant investigative measures to hold those responsible accountable.
Embassy of Uzbekistan maintains regular contact with the relatives of the deceased and is providing them with the necessary consular and legal assistance. Furthermore, the investigation process regarding the traffic accident has been taken under official supervision.
The diplomatic mission expressed its condolences to the family and relatives of T.M. regarding this heavy loss and carried out the necessary measures to repatriate the body of the deceased to her homeland.
In this regard, the Embassy reiterates that protecting the rights and interests of compatriots abroad is a priority and confirms its full readiness to promptly provide comprehensive consular, legal, and other assistance to citizens of Uzbekistan who find themselves in difficult life situations within the territory of India.
