SEOUL, April 27. /Dunyo IA/. Embassy of Uzbekistan provides practical assistance on a permanent basis to compatriots who find themselves in difficult life situations in South Korea, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Recently, the diplomatic mission received an email appeal from citizen D.B., a native of the Samarkand region and a mother of two children.
In her appeal, our compatriot stated that she has been living in the South Korean city of Ansan for several years with her husband and two children. In 2024-2025, she worked at a semi-finished food factory (ramen) in the city of Asan, but was forced to quit due to deteriorating health. Currently, facing serious health issues and being pregnant, she is unable to perform physical labor. Due to family disputes and financial difficulties, the applicant requested assistance in returning to her homeland along with her children.
This case was promptly reviewed by the Embassy in cooperation with the representative office of the Migration Agency in Seoul, leading to the confirmation of the stated facts. It was established that the family is facing serious financial hardships and lacks sufficient funds for their daily needs.
As part of the attention paid by the President of Uzbekistan to compatriots abroad, and with the assistance of the Embassy and the Migration Agency representative office, citizen D.B. and her two minor children were provided with temporary housing.
Air tickets were purchased for them, and on April 24 of this year, their safe return to Uzbekistan was ensured.
Our compatriot expressed her gratitude to the Government and the President of Uzbekistan for the assistance provided, emphasizing that diplomatic missions abroad serve as a vital support system for citizens in such situations.
