ASHGABAT, December 29. /Dunyo IA/. President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov has awarded Ravshanbek Alimov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan, with the jubilee medal “For the 30th Anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Neutrality”, as well as a commemorative silver badge, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the State Information Agency “Turkmenistan Today”, the award ceremony took place at the “Mekan” Palace in the capital as part of the event titled “The Year of International Peace and Trust: Confident Steps of Neutral Turkmenistan”.

The awards were conferred in recognition of significant contributions to strengthening Turkmenistan’s independence and its status of permanent neutrality, as well as for efforts to support and promote the policy of international peace and trust, marking the 30th anniversary of the country’s acquisition of permanent neutrality status.

The Head of State also presented awards to a number of heads of diplomatic missions of foreign states and international organizations. Among the recipients were the heads of diplomatic missions of the United States, Russia, Germany, Iran, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Türkiye, Japan and the Republic of Korea, as well as representatives of UNICEF and the Asian Development Bank in Turkmenistan.

According to the publication, the diplomats were honoured for their many years of dedicated service, effective professional engagement, and personal contributions to the development of bilateral relations, as well as to the implementation of programmes in the fields of science, healthcare and other sectors.
