Ambassador of Uzbekistan presents credentials to the President of Finland

HELSINKI, April 4. /Dunyo IA/. The new Ambassador of Uzbekistan with residence in Riga Timur Rakhmanov presented his credentials to the President of Finland Alexander Stubb on April 1, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the brief conversation that took place after the official ceremony, issues concerning the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Finland were discussed.
Alexander Stubb expressed full support from the Finnish side for the large-scale reforms being implemented under the leadership of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and expressed readiness to expand bilateral cooperation in this regard.
The President of Finland also highly appreciated the development of political dialogue and bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Helsinki and Tashkent, emphasized the important role of Uzbekistan in the region, and expressed interest in further developing ties with our country in the areas of energy, mining, construction, agriculture, education, and other sectors.
It is worth noting that Timur Rakhmanov arrived in Riga as the new Ambassador of Uzbekistan on March 13, 2024. Prior to this appointment, he served as the Consul General in Novosibirsk from 2021 to 2024.
Timur Rakhmanov presented his credentials as the Ambassador of Uzbekistan with residence in Riga to the President of Latvia, Edgars Rinkevics, on June 17, 2024, and to the President of Lithuania, Gitanas Nauseda, on February 11, 2025.
