ТASHKENT, February 24. /Dunyo IA/.   Based on the shared spiritual and religious values of the two countries, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates Saeed Matar Al-Qemzi hosted an iftar on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event was attended by Muhammadolim Muhammadsiddiqov, Deputy Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan; Davronbek Makhsudov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Religious Affairs; heads of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan and the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the Iftar, UAE Ambassador briefed the guests on the national traditions of celebrating the month of Ramadan in the Emirates. Participants also learned about the similarities and unique features of religious customs characteristic of both Uzbekistan and the UAE.

Following the meeting, representatives of state and public structures expressed their readiness to further develop cooperation with the UAE Embassy, elevate the partnership to a new level, and implement joint projects and cultural initiatives in the future.
