NEW YORK, February 19. /Dunyo IA/.  During the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the United States, representatives of the International Federation of the Uzbek Martial Art “Turon” held a symbolic congratulatory event in the heart of the city, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

As part of the event, digital billboards in Times Square and multimedia screens on specialized trucks circulating throughout the city showcased a video presentation highlighting the achievements of Uzbek athletes and the development of national sports.

The screens featured footage of Uzbek athletes’ victories at international competitions, award ceremonies, and segments illustrating systematic state support for physical education, mass sports and the training of elite athletes.

Holding the event during the President of Uzbekistan’s visit to the United States served as an expression of sincere appreciation for his consistent efforts in advancing sports, creating opportunities for youth to realize their potential and strengthening the international standing of Uzbek athletics. The organizers thereby emphasized recognition of his contributions and the significance of achievements that have become a source of national pride and a key factor in promoting a positive image of the country abroad.
