Uzbekistan and Serbia are interested in expanding inter-parliamentary dialogue

BELGRADE, May 9. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Oybek Shakhavdinov met with Marina Raguš, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly (Parliament) of Serbia and Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Serbia, as well as the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level during the official visit of the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, to Uzbekistan on October 28-30 last year.
Particular attention was paid to intensifying interaction between the parliaments of the two countries, expanding contacts between relevant committees and parliamentary friendship groups, as well as strengthening institutional dialogue.
The sides also exchanged views on participation in upcoming international parliamentary events and the organization of mutual high-level visits.
Following the meeting, the parties emphasized a mutual commitment to further strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Serbia and enhancing its practical and substantive impact.
