ABU DHABI, May 6. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Umid Shadiev met with the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, issues regarding the further development of bilateral economic relations were discussed. In particular, the sides noted the steady growth of mutual trade volumes in recent years, reaching a record figure of USD 1.2 billion by the end of 2025.

The parties also reviewed progress on accelerating negotiations for the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), with a focus on finalizing the document and preparing for its signing.

Furthermore, the Emirati side was invited to participate in the 5^th Tashkent International Investment Forum, which will take place from June 16^th to 19^th in Tashkent.
