BUDAPEST, January 14. /Dunyo IA/. As part of efforts to intensify bilateral cultural cooperation during 2026, designated as the Year of Culture, Science and Innovation between Uzbekistan and Hungary, negotiations were held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan with the organizers of Hungary’s leading contemporary art fair, “Art Market Budapest”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The sides discussed the potential participation of Uzbek artists, photographers, and craftspeople in the 2026 edition of the fair. The Hungarian side expressed its readiness to support the organization of a national Uzbek pavilion, which could be presented under the “Made in Uzbekistan” brand.
The event is set to bring together leading figures of contemporary art from Central and Eastern Europe as well as guests from other regions. Uzbekistan’s participation would provide a broad platform to showcase national art, strengthen cultural ties and promote the works of Uzbek creators on the international stage.
This cooperation reflects a broader strategy to deepen cultural exchange between the two countries and opens new opportunities to reinforce friendly and creative links between Uzbekistan and Hungary in 2026.
