SHANGHAI, March 17. /Dunyo/. Uzbek diplomats held a meeting with Liu Shujun, Head of the Uzbekistan Investment and Trade Promotion Center, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the talks, the parties discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade and economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian, tourism, and other areas, as well as organizing joint events on a regular basis.
The Center was established in October 2025 with the support of the Consulate General and Tongda Hangkong Services Co. Ltd. Its activities are aimed at attracting Chinese companies to Uzbekistan, organizing visits, promoting the country’s investment and tourism potential, and expanding cultural exchange.
It was noted that in recent years there has been growing interest among Chinese businesses in Uzbekistan. Liu Shujun expressed readiness to assist in attracting investment and promoting Uzbek products on the Chinese market.
At the end of January, a 200-square-meter office space on the 18th floor of a business center in Shanghai was prepared and equipped for the Center. It now provides facilities for presentations, business meetings, forums, and cultural events.
In addition, dedicated accounts have been created on Chinese online platforms to promote Uzbekistan’s investment and tourism potential, with an agreement reached to regularly update them with relevant content.
Plans are also underway to organize a visit to Uzbekistan in April by a delegation of representatives from major Chinese companies operating in the fields of healthcare, energy, mining, and tourism.
